UAB Student Affairs has named Carmen Novoa, assistant director of Family Engagement, the May Employee of the Month, recognizing her commitment to students, families, and her colleagues through her collaborative and service-centered approach.

Carmen has played a key role in helping families feel informed, supported, and connected by developing Spanish-language resources and programs that make important university information easier to navigate and understand. She is also recognized for “always willing to step in to assist other departments in need of Spanish translation support.”
