Throughout the spring semester the UAB Campus Recreation Center will be hosting Spring Day camps. These day camps are designed for parents who work while their child is out of school. The day camp schedule is from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and is for children between the ages of 5 and 12. Children will explore various sports, crafts, aquatic activities, etc. all under the roof of the rec center. For UAB affiliates the cost per child/per day is $40, while the cost for non-affiliates is $50.
Special pricing for the week of Spring Break is available for parents. For UAB affiliates, the cost is $155 per child while non-UAB affiliates pay $185 per child. The staff will also provide before and after care for $5 per day starting at 7:30 a.m. and ending at 5:30 p.m. Snacks will be provided daily however, campers will need to provide their own lunch.
The dates for Spring Day Camp are as follows:
- Feb. 19: Presidents Day
- March 9: Weather Day 1
- March 26-30: Spring Break week
- April 20: Weather Day 2
- April 27: Weather Day 3
