UAB’s Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity hosted their second annual Miss Blue and Gold Pageant on March 31 with all proceeds benefiting their philanthropy, The Ability Experience, a non-profit organization that serves those who are disabled.

Pageant contestants participated in three rounds and were judged by David Dada, Lauren Michael, and Allison Solomon. The first round included a two to four minute informational presentation on each contestant’s disability of choice. Contestants were able to demonstrate their talents during the second round of the pageant and were also given the chance to share their inputs during the final round when asked a question concerning disability awareness.

Pi Kappa Phi successfully raised nearly $1800 for The Ability Experience through this event which will be used in funding the organization’s programs.
