Thanks to UAB Student Involvement and Leadership, this year’s Homecoming event was a great success. Student Affairs staff from across the Division showed their Blazer pride in the gurney derby, tailgating, decoration contest and the list goes on.

The Division of Student Affairs crafted their own float this year at UAB’s Forever Blazer 2016 Homecoming Parade. Those on the float committee were Erica Lewis, Kristen Bowen, Valerie Dubose, Jessica Nathan, Ashleigh Johnson, Allison Messier, Caleb Rotton, Hannah Doss (Drew the Dragon), Allison Solomon and Sean Riles. Each of these individuals took time out of their busy work schedules to create a wonderful float in less than two weeks. It was marvelous to see the power of collaboration. Plus, the spirit that the float brought out of their fellow Student Affairs colleagues allowed the team to win the "Most School Spirited" award. Congrats Team!!!
