Are you ready for conference season? Conference Assistant applications open Jan 31 at 8 a.m. and are due by Feb 21 at 5 p.m. The conference assistant is a hospitality-centered position that requires customer service and time management skills. They are the face of UAB during a groups’ stay with us, assisting them through their entire stay. Conference Assistants receive free housing from May 7 - Aug. 7 as well as a $1,000 compensation.
In addition to an application, candidates must submit a recommendation form from a UAB faculty, staff member, or administrator.
Qualifications include the following
- Must be a current UAB student who will be enrolled in Fall 2017
- Must be in good academic and conduct standing with UAB
- Due to the time commitment for the position, applicants can take summer classes,
but cannot have an outside job unless approval is given by the Camps and Conferences Coordinator
