Supporting Students

by Nicolas Recalde (Intern, Student Affairs Marketing and Communications)

UAB’s Collegiate Recovery Community (CRC) is excited to announce an additional weekly all-recovery meeting starting January 29, 2024. The department will hold student-led, non-denominational discussions that aim to foster a sense of community and support for those wanting to achieve long-term recovery from substance abuse. UAB students and anyone within the Birmingham area can attend all-recovery meetings every Tuesday and Wednesday at 4 p.m. at 1102 12th St. S., between the Pita Stop and Subway.

The CRC is a group of students who come together to support peers wishing to change their relationship with substances or achieve long-term recovery. Through group discussions and events, these students meet with the intention of forming a meaningful community and surrounding students with support to achieve their personal long-term substance use goals.
