'Skyfall' showing for free on UAB campus
Despite the recent meteorite strike in Russia, we remain convinced that the sky is not falling. Nevertheless, UAB will present the newest James Bond movie, "Skyfall," outside on the Campus Green Tuesday, Feb. 19 at 7 p.m.
And do you think 007 lets a little meteor strike get in his way? No!
(Actually, we're pretty sure "Skyfall" has nothing to do with meteors, whatsoever, but there will be lots of shooting, chases, and explosions.)
Temeratures Tuesday evening are currently projected in the low 40's, so if the weather is looking too harsh, the movie will instead be screened inside the Alumni Auditorium.
Admission to the movie is free, but you should probably leave your martinis -- whether they be shaken or stirred -- at home.
Skyfall earned a 92% positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and stacking up against other Bond movies, it was ranked at #5. It was the 2nd highest-grossing film, worldwide, of 2012.
