Video shows different perspective on HUC demolition

A new YouTube video posted by UAB Digital Media shows a time-lapse of the deconstruction of Hill University Center.

When you watch it, you might think that you're looking at a miniature model of the HUC with stop-motion animation of tiny toy construction vehicles. But this isn't a mini-UAB built by the railway enthusiasts who contribute to the McWane Science Center's "Magic of Model Trains" exhibit.

The video uses a tilt-shift effect, which gives the setting its toy-like appearance.

UAB's new student center is on track to be completed by the fall 2015 semester.
