SafeZone Peer Educators are a group of volunteer undergraduate students who provided education and training around issues of gender, sexuality, power and oppression. SafeZone Peer Educators provide a visible network where all UAB undergraduate, graduate and professional students can receive knowledge and ask questions in a welcoming space in order to help make campus a safer, more accepting place for LGBTQ students, staff, faculty and visitors.
