1. Will the instant message conversations be secure?
Yes, the conversations will be encrypted to ensure student privacy.

2. Where will students be able to access the instant messaging system?
We will place links to the instant messaging service on appropriate websites and inside of the degree mapping system.

3. How will students be connected to the most appropriate advisors/counselors?
The software will automatically route students to the appropriate advisor or counselor, based on a student's school, degree program, and other factors.

4. Why will students be asked to log in to use instant messaging?
By logging in with a BlazerID and password students can be directed to the appropriate advisors/counselors. It also allows the conversation to proceed quickly because the advisor/counselor who is communicating with the student will immediately have information about the student in front of them.

5. Will the conversations be archived?
Yes, the conversations will be archived so that other advisors/counselors can easily see the details of prior conversations. Making these conversations available to them will help them serve students more effectively.
