Mentoring Program for Students

Mentoring allows students to develop relationships with professionals in their chosen fields through one-on-one interactions. The purpose of the UAB Mentoring Program is to create an opportunity for students to gain insight into their chosen major and develop a relationship with a professional in the field. The program is open to all sophomores and juniors who are currently enrolled at UAB and have a G.P.A. of 2.5 or higher.

Mentors are UAB alumni and friends who are currently established in their professions or who have made significant contributions to the community in support of UAB. These individuals are volunteers who wish to support future colleagues by serving as a source of information for UAB students.

Matches are based on career objectives and academic background.
