In 2006, Troy University received extramural support to establish an Alabama Math, Science, and Technology Initiative (AMSTI) site. The AMSTI site director retained the services of the UAB Center for Educational Accountability to plan and implement selected components of their program evaluation to include the development of student surveys, analysis of survey responses, and completion of written reports of results. Surveys were developed in cooperation with the AMSTI site director and were administered by site personnel during Spring 2006 to students in internships, methods courses, and content courses on four campuses (Troy, Dothan, Phenix City, and Montgomery).
