Internship applications are due on the last day of the week in January, one semester (not including summer) prior to the fall internship; two semesters prior to the spring internship.
Applications for fall 2016 and spring 2017 are due by January 29, 2016.
Applications for fall 2017 and spring 2018 are due by January 31, 2017.
Fall 2016 Student Teaching Dates:
7/20: Early Bird date to receive fall internship placements - if all testing scores have been received by the Office of Student Services by 7/5, placements will be emailed by 7/20
8/29: Mandatory Student Teaching Orientation for all *non-hired interns; 9:00am-12:00pm; Hill Student Center, Alumni Theater (1400 University Boulevard, Room 310)
8/29: Extended Mandatory Orientation for all elementary education interns only; 11:00am-1:00pm; EB 151
8/29: Mandatory Student Teaching Orientation for all hired/full-time teaching interns; 4:00pm-5:00pm; Sterne Library, Dean's Conference Room (1st floor, back right)
8/30: First day in assigned school for all *non-hired interns, except elementary education interns
8/30: edTPA Academy for elementary education interns only, 8:00am-12:00pm; EB 151
8/31: First day in assigned school for all *non-hired elementary education interns only
TBA: Internship seminars for ALL secondary interns, including math, sciences, social studies, history, English, Spanish, French, music, and art
9/20, 10/4, 10/18, 11/1: Internship seminars for ALL elementary education interns; 1:00pm-5:00pm, location TBA
10/13: Beginning of second half of internship (for K-12 certification areas)
12/9: Last day of internship
12/12 - 12/16: Make-up days of internship absences
*"NON-HIRED" refers to interns that will not be completing their internship as Alternative Master's full-time hired teachers within their field of certification.
