Internship applications are due on the last day of the week in January, one semester (not including summer) prior to the fall internship; two semesters prior to the spring internship.
Applications for fall 2014 and spring 2015 were due by January 31, 2014.
Note: Due to weather issues, applications for fall 2014 and spring 2015 were due by 2/7/14.
Fall 2014 Student Teaching Dates:
8/25: Mandatory Student Teaching Orientation for all *non-hired interns; 9:00am-12:00pm; Lincoln Professional Development Center (901 9th Ave. North, room 124)
8/25: Mandatory Student Teaching Orientation for all hired/full-time teaching interns; 4:30pm-5:30pm; Sterne Library, Henley Room
8/26, 8/27, 8/28: Alabama Reading Initiative (ARI) training for all *non-hired interns; 8:30am-3:30pm; Lincoln Professional Development Center (901 9th Ave. North)
9/2: First day in assigned school for all *non-hired interns
8/26, 9/9, 9/23, 10/7, 10/21, 11/4: Internship seminars for ALL elementary interns; 5:00pm-7:30pm; Location - check BlazerNet
8/28, 9/11, 9/25, 10/9, 10/23, 11/13: Internship seminars for ALL secondary interns, including math, sciences, social studies, history, English, Spanish, French, music, and art; 5:00pm-7:30pm; Location - check BlazerNet
10/13: First Aid/CPR deadline - copy of cards must be emailed to Ms. Vega
10/16: Beginning of second half of internship (for K-12 certification areas and CTTs)
12/5: Last day of fall 2014 internship
12/8 - 12/12: Make-up days of fall 2014 internship absences
*"NON-HIRED" refers to interns that will not be completing their internship as Alternative Master's full-time hired teachers within their field of certification.
