The membership of the Sept 1, 2018 - Aug 31, 2019 Faculty Senate has been determined, based on the nominations and votes made by the faculty. The roster for the 2018-2019 Faculty Senate is posted on the Faculty Senate Document website (under Rosters tab, BlazerID login required).

Faculty are elected to serve on staggered two-year terms. The change in membership will occur on September 1st. The 2017-2018 Faculty Senate will meet on June 12th and August 14th (no mtg in July). The 2018-2019 Faculty Senate will begin its term on September 1, 2018 and have its first meeting on September 11th. The 2018-2019 Faculty Senate will be made up of newly elected members and members who are in the 2nd year of their term.

On September 1st, the roster page of the Faculty Senate website will reflect the 2018-2019 membership, including links to each member’s bio sketch and email address.

If a seat becomes vacant during the term, then the remaining Senate members, from the same elections year, will all move up one seat, based on number of votes received in the election, and the vacant Alternate Senator seat will be offered to the 1st runner-up. If he/she is unavailable, then the seat will be offered to the 2nd runner-up and so on. Elections results in the form of seat awarded and list of runner-ups are posted online (under the Reports Tab on the Senate Documents page, BlazerID login required).

Preliminary orientation for new Faculty Senate members started at the May 8th Senate meeting. Full orientation will occur sometime in late-August, with the term beginning on September 1.
