Anthology Course Evaluations (formerly known as Campus Labs) is the platform that hosts IDEA Course Evaluations.

What does this mean to faculty?

  • You have your own, personalized faculty dashboard with all your courses for the term with a single login using your UAB Credentials.
  • The faculty dashboard will include your end-of-term reports which are viewable within 7 days after grades are posted.
  • The Objectives Selection Form (OSF) has 13 objectives.
  • You select the objectives for your courses and add additional questions (unless disabled by your department administrator) on your faculty dashboard, no more filtering through multiple emails and links to find your forms!
  • You can see your class response rates in real-time during the response period!
  • If you choose, you can have students complete their course evaluations in-person during class time, as the student interface is now mobile-friendly. (smartphones, iPads, laptops)
  • Faculty Dashboard access
  • Click here for downloadable, detailed instructions for the Faculty Dashboard (PDF)
  • See the "Resources" section at the bottom of this page for additional information.

What does this mean for IDEA Course Evaluation administrators?

  • No more making selections in BlazerNet then working on another site, it is all completed in one place!
  • Course set-up, additional questions, and reporting occur in your own private administrator dashboard.
  • No more ordering reports and dealing with paper and distributions. All reports will be available online within 7 days after grades post for the term.
  • You can now control the mailings and reminders to students and faculty!
  • UAB IDEA Course Evaluation Team will set up administrations for each term.
  • The IDEA Course Evaluation administrator for your school/department is responsible for selecting the courses that will be evaluated.
  • The Objectives Selection Form (OSF) has 13 objectives.
  • Faculty will have from the time your administration is live until the last day of student evaluation to fill out their OSF’s
  • There are two IDEA forms that administrators can choose between:
    • Diagnostic Feedback (pdf) - 40 questions - A comprehensive tool that provides both summative and formative feedback about student progress on relevant course objectives, instructor teaching methods, and overall impressions of the instructor and course.
    • Learning Essentials (pdf) - 18 questions – (Formerly Short Form) Provides summative feedback about average student progress on relevant learning objectives and overall impressions of the instructor and course.
  • Students have 7-14 days to complete the course evaluations which close on the last day of class.
  • Administrator Dashboard access
