What our invited interviewing students can expect:

    • Arrive Thursday morning
    • Thursday meetings
    • Dinner with faculty Thursday evening
    • Interviews on Friday
    • Lunch with students and exit interview

Dress - Invited students typically dress in business or business/casual attire for interviews: Dress slacks, shirt and tie for men; business skirt, blouse/suit for women. Wear comfortable shoes. We are an urban campus, and you will be walking! Dress at other times will be casual.

Weather - Birmingham's weather in January, February and March is usually cold (30's), windy, and rainy. Please bring clothing and/or umbrella that will make you comfortable in this type of weather. Note: We have had more snow this winter than usual, so be prepared to stay warm.

Logistics - Our office will make the airline and hotel reservations for all interviewing students. Most of your meals will be provided.

Paying for the Visit - UAB will make and pay for your hotel reservation, plane ticket and scheduled meals up front.

Contact Information - Students invited to interview will be in contact with our program manager, Patricia Matthews, to arrange flights and hotel, and provide assistance for your itinerary.
