MedAssets CEO keynote speaker


John A. Bardis, founder, chairman and CEO of MedAssets, Inc. in Atlanta, is the keynote speaker at Eighth Annual L.R. "Rush" Jordan Feb. 16 at the Wynfrey Hotel in Hoover. The reception begins at 5:30 p.m. with dinner beginning at 6:30 p.m. The theme for this year's event is, "Global Economic: The Reality is Finally Here for Healthcare."


UAB and Saudi Arabia signing partnershipHSA inks $2.2 million deal to train Saudi Arabia hospital administrators

When the King Fahad Specialist Hospital-Dammam in Saudia Arabia decided to build a new 1,500-bed hospital, they realized they needed someone to train their hospital administrators. The hospital decided to ask UAB’s top-ranked Department of Health Services Administration to teach their 35 physicians/administrators. more

Carrie Dunn, Executive Master's of Science in Health Administration, was chosen to speak at the 2011 UAB fall post-baccalaureate commencement ceremony. As an attorney, Dunn was able to continue to work while pursuing her master's degree in the executive program. Dunn says her interests include health care reform and pro­fessional liability. Congratulations on representing the Department of Health Services Administration in the School of Health Professions.
