Cardiothoracic Anesthesia           
The Department of Anesthesiology invites applications for multiple faculty positions for clinical anesthesiologists in the Division of Cardiothoracic Anesthesia. Academic rank, tenure status and salary commensurate with experience. The division provides anesthetic management for approximately 3,500 patients per year with a wide variety of cardiothoracic and congenital cardiac procedures. A full range of transplant services is offered, including adult and pediatric cardiac and lung transplantation. Clinical interests of the cardiac anesthesia faculty include TEE, thoracic anesthesia and pediatric cardiac anesthesia. Research activities include work utilizing thromboelastography to interrogate the coagulation abnormalities seen in patients with left ventricular assist devices. Please contact Keith A. Anesthesia Critical Care Medicine           
Seeking an academic physician to join the faculty in the Department of Anesthesiology. Academic rank, tenure status and salary commensurate with experience. The candidate should be board certified in Anesthesiology, board eligible or certified in intensive care medicine and have research training. In addition to attending in the surgical ICU and providing anesthesia for surgical cases, the candidate will be expected to conduct independent research in a field of choice or participate/enhance the basic and translational research efforts of the department. Pain Treatment       
The Department of Anesthesiology invites applications for faculty positions (Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree). These full-time positions include teaching, graduate student training, joint appointment in an appropriate basic science department and clinical care/translational research opportunities, depending on the candidates' background. Clinical expertise, if relevant, should be centered around deep tissue pain. A strong interest in visceral sensory processing with experience in both electrophysiological and behavioral models is preferred. Academic rank and tenure status will be determined by experience and accomplishments. Salary and benefits are highly competitive, with a start-up package for salary, personnel and equipment. Lab, core facility and animal care space are all locatd in a new 5 story research building housing investigators studying cardiovascular, pulmonary and CNA pathobiology, mechanism of inflammatory injury, free radical biology, sensory neurobiology and gene therapy. The successful candidates will have a strong interest in cell and molecular biology, cell signaling mechanisms, and/or translational research interests in these areas. Regional Anesthesia          
The Department of Anesthesiology invites applications for clinical faculty positions.  Candidates should be board certified in Anesthesiology and fellowship-trained or have commensurate experience in Regional Anesthesia.  In addition to performing peripheral nerve blocks and providing anesthesia for a rapidly growing number of orthopedic surgical cases, candidates will be expected to teach residents and participate in ongoing research efforts of the department.  Academic rank, tenure status and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Qualified candidates should send their CV along with a letter describing their experience to Dr. Keith A.
