CFAR's Dr. Burel Goodin Awarded CNIHR Funding
Dr. Goodin was recently awarded two years of pilot funding through the Creative and Novel Ideas in HIV Research funding program (CNIHR). His project, "Risk Factors for Chronic Pain in HIV" will address why individuals with HIV appear to be at increased risk for chronic pain. Data obtained from this project would increase the scientific understanding of biopsychosocial risk factors thought to be important for the development and perpetuation of chronic pain in individuals with HIV.
