The Pediatric Division of Infectious Diseases provides outpatient and inpatient care for infants, children, and adolescents with illness of known or suspected infectious etiology. Clinical care activities may include both infectious diseases that are difficult to diagnose and those requiring hospitalization such as bloodstream infections, meningitis, serious pneumonias, and viral diseases.

Dr. Suresh Boppana, Pediatric Infectious Diseases, is the 2015 recipient of the inaugural Congenital CMV (Cytomegalovirus) Award presented at the 5th International Congenital CMV Conference in Brisbane, Australia. This important award represents premier recognition of our Pediatric Infectious Diseases division by our international peers. Boppana also presented the inaugural address at the conference: "Global Burden of Congenital CMV."
