2019 SIBS, PARAdiGM, SURE-GM, KURE Application

Directions

To complete this online application you will need to have the following ready to upload since it is not possible to save your application and come back to complete it at a later time.

1. Statement of Academic Interest and Career Goals. Describe your previous research experience (if any), scientific areas of interest, hobbies, and future education and career goals. Two pages maximum - PDF uploads best.

2. Resume - PDF uploads best.

3. Contact Information for faculty who are writing your letters of recommendation (name, institution/department, email address). When inputting email addresses, they should be typed in - do not copy and paste.

4. Transcript: To maintain your privacy, transcripts should not be uploaded. Instead, please mail or email yours to the address below. We accept official or unofficial transcripts, and they should include Fall 2019 grades. You should not wait for it to become available before you submit your application - transcripts can be sent in separately any time prior to the February 15th deadline. If you are accepted to the program you will be asked to submit an official transcript at that time.

Eligibility for SIBS, PARAdiGM, SURE-GM, and KURE is restricted to sophomores and juniors who are US Citizens or Permanent Residents. Additionally, PARAdiGM is restricted to those from disadvantaged or under-represented minority backgrounds and SURE-GM is only open to individuals who are enrolled at an Alabama HBCU. Eligible students may apply to any one or all programs by checking their program of interest.
