Family Wellness Court

Family Wellness Court combines therapeutic interventions and treatment with personal responsibility and accountability to positively impact the recovery, reunification, permanency and safety of its parents/children/families. Family Wellness Court case managers work in conjunction with Jefferson County Department of Human Resources to deliver individualized services tailored to the needs of each participant and family.

UAB Comprehensive Addiction in Pregnancy Program (UAB CAPP)

UAB CAPP was established through a 5-year Regional Partnership Grant awarded by the Health & Human Services, Administration for Children and Families. The program serves pregnant/postpartum mothers with substance use conditions through universal screening, gender specific treatment, medication assisted treatment, in-home services and peer recovery support services.

Partnering entities include UAB Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM), Addiction Recovery Program of UAB, Jefferson County Department of Human Resources (DHR), Jefferson County Family Wellness Court, IMPACT Family Counseling, UAB Beacon Recovery, Aletheia House and the Jefferson County Department of Health.
