The UAB Multiple Sclerosis Center sees more than 3,000 patients per year and offers a remarkable breadth of services and commitment to care for people with MS and related disorders. As part of an elite nationwide group designated by the National MS Society as a Comprehensive Center for MS Care, the UAB MS Center offers patients a specialized and multidisciplinary approach to MS care. It is located at one of the preeminent academic medical centers in the United States.
Through the extensive services available at UAB, we are able to uniquely provide quality, comprehensive care to address the complex and varied needs of patients with MS from childhood through adulthood. It is truly an exciting time at the UAB MS Center, as we provide tangible solutions for people living with MS today, as well as engage in new and promising efforts toward identifying treatments to impact and ultimately stop this disease.

Patient care services are provided via the MS Clinic at the Kirklin Clinic of UAB Hospital. UAB neurologists, with advanced training in MS and neuroimmunology, provide expertise in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of MS and other immune-based disorders of the central nervous system (CNS), such as neuromyelitis optica, optic neuritis, transverse myelitis, CNS vasculitis and neurological complications of systemic immune-mediated disorders. Comprehensive diagnostic and treatment, as well as consultation services, are provided to patients seen at the Center. In addition, our MS neurologists work closely with neurologists throughout the Southeast to coordinate care and provide ongoing support for patient needs.
