MD Clinical Rotation

The Department of Radiation Oncology offers fourth year medical students the opportunity to participate in a variety of clinical and research activities. We offer 4-week Clinical and/or Research electives throughout the academic year. During this rotation, medical students are allowed to participate in department activities, which include: Morning conferences, Physics Classes, Journal Club. They are allowed to observe in patient care activities with Resident and Attending Physicians. Toward the end of their rotation, students are encouraged to give a formal lecture on a topic of their choice which is followed by informal discussion. The Department of Radiation Oncology at UAB welcomes medical students’ participation in our rotations as part of their overall educational experience.
