UAB recently recognized 22 individuals for their years of service in the Department of Radiation Oncology, ranging from five to 35 years. The UAB and UAB Medicine Service Awards honor employees who have made a significant career commitment to UAB with recognition happening at every five-year milestone.
The Department of Radiation Oncology had seven individuals with 20 or more years of service for 2025, marking longstanding dedication within the institution. Those individuals include Helen Smith (35 years); Hollye A. Kelly, Richard Popple, M.D., Sui Shen, M.D., and Joey P. Slatsky (25 years); and Haitao Ding and Jennifer Wilker (20 years).
