UAB’s annual Fall Into Health series offers several unique ways to stay healthy, said Employee Wellness Director Anna Threadcraft, including free onsite vision screenings, Zumba fitness classes, educational lunch-and-learn sessions and other activities to help employees make healthy choices in the workplace.

“We want each employee to be their best self — whether at work or at home,” Threadcraft said.

Fall Into Health 2018 gears up in September with two colon health events:

  • Sept. 11 Learn the reasons screening is important, UAB efforts to raise awareness and the founder of Rumpshaker Inc. will share her personal story about the importance colorectal cancer prevention for her family. Lunch from Newks is provided for the first 40 in attendance.
  • Sept. 14  Colon on the Corner with Coffee features free Dunkin Donuts coffee, the 30-foot inflatable colon and special appearances from James Spann and Birmingham Mayor Randall Woodfin.

Events continue through November. See a complete calendar at uab.edu/fallintohealth.
