Winnie Mandela, former president of the National Congress Women’s League and former wife of South Africa’s first black president, Nelson Mandela, will give a free public lecture at the Alys Stephens Center Monday, March 8 from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m.

Mandela’s lecture is being presented in conjunction with the 45th Annual Bridge Crossing Jubilee organized by the National Voting Rights Museum & Institute in Selma and is sponsored by the City of Birmingham, Jefferson County, NAACP-Birmingham Chapter and University of Alabama System.
