The UAB Nathan Shock Center (NSC) is accepting monthly requests for Exploratory Funds for new small projects ( $1,000-10,000 each) with a focus on the mechanistic hallmarks and/or energetics of aging. The goal of these projects are to:
- Provide funds to collect data critical for an upcoming grant submission;
- Make use of the NSC research cores towards having the goal of gathering data needed for a full Pilot Grant application, and consequent extramural funding request.
The request for exploratory funds should be no more than 2 pages and should include:
- Title of your project: the specific grant title, agency for submission, date of submission;
- Answers to the six questions in the attached template (PDF);
- Detail Budget with justification.
