In the spring of 2006, students in the Master of Science in Health Administration Program at UAB competed in a local case competition based upon a real life scenario from the UAB Health System – the repositioning of the Women’s and Infant’s Facility. Everyone involved enjoyed the experience – students, senior executives, and judges. Through this experience came a vision for a nationwide competition among other graduate programs in health administration. And thus, the UAB Health Administration Case Competition was formed.
