Research Interests

I have many different interests and it’s easy for me to be curious about all the different facets of nutrition science. My main focus is on identifying and treating eating disorders in underrepresented populations. Eating disorders are extremely complex illnesses with high mortality rates; however, research is generally limited to a specific demographic. I’m also interested in exploring health outcomes related to weight cycling and potentially how nutrition and the gut microbiome work together to influence our overall health.

Why I decided to pursue a PhD?

Research is like magic to me; I love to identify the missing pieces in current knowledge and make connections that aren’t easily noticeable. There is so much more to learn, and I hope to impact the future through my research.

Any special interests, hobbies, or fun facts?

To decompress, I love to read, lift weights, box, cycle, and paint. I also have a not so super “superpower”: an uncanny ability to find four-leaf clovers.
