To highlight UAB’s creed – the “Blazer Way” – the University of Alabama at Birmingham will host Creed Week on February 5-9, 2024. Students, faculty, staff, alumni, and stakeholders are invited to attend a weeklong celebration packed with events and programs that highlight the five tenets of the Blazer Way: Honor & Integrity, Diversity, Innovation, Service, and Scholarship.
Creed Week, hosted by the Blazer Spirit Council, is filled with events and programs that encourage everyone to connect to what it truly means to be a Blazer.

Stop at one of the Creed Week tables to participate in an activity and grab a cookie! Other items will be available and planned activities will explain the spirit of the Creed.
Rise Against Hunger

Join UAB for the Rise Against Hunger, an event to end world hunger. Volunteers will help pack nutritious meals to send to families in areas that suffer from food insecurity. All undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to participate.
Connect Fest

Are you curious about the organizations active on campus? Come to ConnectFest where you can meet and talk to various representatives about the clubs and organizations active at UAB.

Come together with the Off-Campus Student Council to assemble art kits for kids receiving care at Children’s of Alabama Hospital.
“I Stand For” Pin Board

Students, faculty, staff, and alumni are invited to stop by the board on the second floor of the Hill Student Center to add a pin under the creed tenet that resonates the most with them. Giveaways will be provided in limited supply.

Spark Your Fire Arts Competition

The Spark Your Fire Arts Competition, hosted by the Blazer Spirit Council, is a showcase for UAB students to express what The Blazer Way means to them through various art forms. Participants will showcase their work or perform in the Hill Student Center Ballrooms at 6 p.m.
