UAB is home to approximately 380 student organizations that support a variety of interests. UAB supports the creation of student organizations whose purposes and activities enhance the social, cultural, recreational and educational functions of the University.

Engage is the online community for UAB Students and student organizations to connect with opportunities to engage on campus, join and manage student organizations and create an involvement resume.

Fraternity and Sorority Life organizations report to the College Panhellenic Council (CPH), the Interfraternity Council (IFC), the Multicultural Greek Council (MGC), and the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC).

  • Re-Registration and Roster Update Process for Student Organizations

    Once an organization has been approved, they are required to annually complete Engage Re-Registration. Additionally, organizations are required to submit a Roster Update at the beginning of the spring semester. Failure to re-register and/or update the roster by the stated deadline will result in a loss of organizational benefits until the opening of the next re-registration period. Both the Re-Registration and Roster Update can be completed by using the Engage Re-Registration button (instructions are provided below). This button will only be visible during designated periods.

    Fall Re-Registration period: July 1 –August 31
    Spring Re-Registration/Roster Update period: December 1 –January 31

    Students can view which of organization(s) are eligible for re-registration by accessing the Action Center. To access the Action Center, click the Switchboard Icon on the top right hand corner of the Engagecommunity and click "Manage."

    From your Action Center home page, you will see a list of your organizations. Select a single organization to view.

    If the organization is eligible for registration, you will see a blue box which states, “RE-REGISTER THIS ORGANIZATION.” Please click this to proceed to the renewal form.
