On August 26, 2017, three Student Social Work Organization (SSWO) officers volunteered to help on the Freshmen Move-In Day.

Ashley Clift (vice president), Faith Lowe (member-at-large), and Shelbi White (secretary) (from left to right) spent their Saturday helping freshmen move into their dormitories and feel supported. Starting with this activity, SSWO has launched another exciting academic year. SSWO will plan various volunteer opportunities to be present and visible in communities and collaborate with other entities at UAB and beyond.
