Help Me Grow

Help Me Grow (HMG) connects families to health and developmental resources so children (birth to age eight) can start school healthy and ready to succeed. With this proven model, HMG helps to ensure all children to have the best possible start in life.

Early Intervention
For children under 3 years: If your child is under 3 years of age and you have developmental concerns, please make sure you have initiated a referral to Early Intervention.

  1. Contact Early Intervention Child Find at 1-800-543-3098 (or TTY 1-800-499-1816). Si habla español, puede llamar 1-866-450-2838.
  2. Fill out this Child Find Referral Form and fax it to 334-293-7393.

Glenwood offers more than 20 services for children, adolescents, adults, and families with mental health needs. Access to these services begins with a phone call to Glenwood’s Intake Department. You will be asked to share general information about the person for whom you are calling. The Intake Department will assess your needs and provide you information about specific services and programs. If Glenwood cannot meet your needs, information about other services available in your community will be provided.

Mitchell's Place is a comprehensive treatment center for children and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). It was established in 2005 in response to the growing community need for specialized services for affected individuals and their families. Mitchell’s Place offers a range of services covering all aspects of needs for the individual with autism including psychiatric services.

The Riley Behavioral and Educational Center opened in August 2006. We provide behavioral and educational treatment programs based on scientific research and the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis for children diagnosed with autism, pervasive developmental delay, and other related disorders.

Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Service
ADRS provides assistance throughout a lifetime with individualized services provided in homes, schools, the workplace, and the community. ADRS assists every person in achieving his or her maximum potential. To get started, key in ADRS office location and another screen will appear to select services, program, and county.

Easter Seals Disability Services
ESDS provides services, education, outreach, and advocacy so that people living with autism and other disabilities can live, learn, work, and play in our communities. To get started look to the right and locate Easter Seals near you and type in your zip code.

Gateway
Gateway provides family counseling, focus groups, therapeutic foster care, violence intervention, independent living, and residential program. The modern agency recognizes that people still need help and provides counseling, intervention, education, prevention, and foster care, all to meet its mission: Gateway is preserving, strengthening, and enriching family life through quality services provided to families and individuals in need.
