Please note: While we offer a wide range of general dental services, certain treatments may still require referral to a local dental specialist or to a residency program at a UAB Dentistry campus clinic in Birmingham. Referrals are made when treatment complexity, a patient's medical or dental history, or other clinical considerations indicate that care can be provided most appropriately in a specialty setting.
A Teaching Clinic with a Purpose
UAB Dentistry Dothan is part of UAB Dentistry's commitment to expanding access to quality oral healthcare while helping prepare the next generation of dental professionals.
Dental students provide care under the supervision of experienced faculty and licensed dental professionals. Because treatment is delivered in a teaching environment, appointments may take longer than those in a traditional private practice. This approach allows patients to receive comprehensive care while supporting dental education and workforce development.
