As part of a great research university, our department offers a broad range of undergraduate and graduate degrees. Our programs are fully accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).

How long will it take to complete the Certification in School Psychometry Program?

Unfortunately there is no one answer to this question. Much depends on your previous coursework and how many classes you want to take each semester. We'll be able to give you a specific answer once we evaluate your records.

Are the classes online?

All the classes required for the Certification in School Psychometry Program are offered on-line.

Is it possible to work full time while completing the Certification in School Psychometry Program?

The answer depends on your work schedule and your goals. However, most of the students currently completing the Certification in School Psychometry Program are working full-time in school systems across Alabama.

Do I have to complete an internship?

Yes. A culminating 300-hour internship is required. The 300 hours may be completed in one semester or over several semesters.

Can I take other courses while I am completing my internship?

No. The internship is a culminating experience.

May I complete my internship in the school or school system where I currently am employed?

Yes. However, you must have a certified School Psychometrist or School Psychologist that is employed in that school system to supervise you.

Is financial aid available?

You will be unable to receive financial aid because this is a certificate only program.
