Gunnar Eastep is a Junior in the Science and Technology Honors program majoring in Chemistry. He works in the lab of Dr. Jamil Saad in the Department of Microbiology where his research focuses on understanding localization of retroviral components to the plasma membrane in the late stage of retroviral replication. Gunnar plans on pursuing a Ph.D. in biophysics after completing his degree. When he's not busy with school or research, Gunnar spends his time playing soccer, biking and just hanging out with some of the many awesome people at UAB!
