Expanding knowledge about skin disease
and exploring new treatments.

 

The department is actively involved in innovative research projects, in both the basic and clinical areas of dermatology. There are seven faculty members who are actively engaged in NIH-funded research. The department has major research programs in immunodermatology, including vaccine development, allergic contact hypersensitivity and photoimmunology as well as chemoprevention.
