  • Defining Research in Family Medicine - A Call for Innovation and Clarity

The field of family medicine encompasses a broad range of practices, from patient care to community health improvement. Currently, there's a need for a clear, encompassing, and engaging definition of research that resonates with everyone in the discipline, from students to seasoned practitioners.

    • Craft a definition of research that captures the essence of scholarly activity, practice improvement, and outcomes in medical education within the realm of family medicine.
      • Your definition should bridge the gap between everyday clinical curiosity and structured research, offering a perspective that is as applicable in a local clinic as it is in a formal research institution.
      • The definition should motivate trainees to engage in research, seeing it as an integral part of their professional growth and contribution to the field.
      • It should reflect real-world applicability, demonstrating how research can directly impact patient care and community health.
    • Create a toolbox with tools, resources, and strategies to promote your definition inside and outside of the discipline of Family Medicine.
  • Sports Medicine and AI
    • Illustrate the application of AI in primary care sports medicine.
    • Highlight how these advancements can benefit both athletes and the general population.
