Doctors and health leaders do not always see the problems faced by people with memory changes. By taking the survey, you can help AccessAL-AD:
- Improve care for people with memory loss
- Make it easier to get treatments that people care about
- Help doctors and clinics across Alabama
- Shape better Alzheimer's care for the future
Your voice matters and your experience can help others.
Who can participate in AccessAL-AD?
People with memory changes:
- You are 50 years or older, and
- A doctor has told you that you have:
- Mild Cognitive Impairment (called MCI), or
- Alzheimer's disease
Care Partners:
- You care for someone who has been told by a doctor that they have Alzheimer's disease
How long is my commitment?
The survey will take about 60 minutes to complete by phone or online.
What To Expect
As part of the AccessAL-AD study, we will ask you to complete a survey about your real‑life experiences, including daily challenges related to memory loss. The survey will ask about:
- Diagnosis and medical care for memory loss, including experiences and views on Alzheimer's treatments
- Access to care, costs, and support, including how easy or hard it is to get the services you need
- How memory loss affects work and daily life, for both individuals and care partners
There are no medicines or treatments in this study. We only want to learn about your experiences by asking you to complete a survey.
