University of Alabama at Birmingham Department of Neurosurgery Associate Professor Nicole Bentley, M.D., was recently honored at the annual Women in Medicine and Science Promotion Reception.
The reception, hosted by the Heersink School of Medicine Office for Diversity and Inclusion, took place on April 11, 2024, to recognize the hard work and accomplishments of the honorees.
Bentley was one of 49 female providers promoted to the rank of either professor or associate professor.
Bentley, who specializes in deep brain stimulation, epilepsy surgery and functional movement disorders, has made many valuable contributions to her patients and research projects since joining UAB in 2018.
