The UAB Department of Neurosurgery is happy to offer a new way to connect with your colleagues. The new online employee directory, set to launch this month, offers a comprehensive list of all department employees, contact information, and employee headshots. 

The online and password-protected database allows users to filter and sort employees by a number of different ways, including group/team and who they may support. This feature allows users to access information quicker and better understand the structure of the department. The directory is also equipped with employee photos which will help place faces to names!

The development of this employee directory comes in response to feedback from staff about the challenges of connecting with colleagues in the changing work environment we currently face. With remote work options, masked encounters, and many new hires - the department is sure to benefit from this added resource.

"Not many groups at UAB have something like this," said Department of Neurosurgery Communications Director Marissa Keppley. "It is exciting to be leading change and offering a tool that will eliminate some barriers as we continue to grow as a department."

Links to the Neurosurgery Employee Directory will be located on the department website, as well as in each department newsletter. A user guide and the password to access the database will be shared internally.
