As the new academic year gets underway, renovation on Volker Hall 5 has now concluded. The floor is fully open for student activity. The goal of these updates was to refresh the spaces students use often on VH5 and to bring the rest of the floor the same care the relaxation space received in 2023.

In light of current financial constraints, the renovation team strategically focused available resources on the areas of greatest impact, resulting in substantial improvements across most of the floor. While the renovation did not encompass every portion of the space, the progress achieved reflects careful stewardship of resources and a meaningful advancement in the overall quality and functionality of the floor.

Volker Hall 5 is the latest in a series of improvement efforts throughout the building, creating an inviting and effective physical learning environment for Heersink students. Renovation projects in the Volker Hall Lecture Rooms, Atrium, and fourth floor, have all been completed in the last 12-15 months.
