The UAB Department of Orthopaedic Surgery recently welcomed Todd Sheils, M.D., as an assistant professor.
Originally from Daphne, Alabama, Sheils began his academic journey at Marion Military Institute and the University of South Alabama before earning his medical degree from the UAB Heersink School of Medicine. He continued his training at UAB through his orthopaedic surgery residency before completing an Adult Reconstruction Fellowship at Anderson Orthopaedic Institute.
“I’m really looking forward to teaching residents, caring for patients with complex problems, and becoming part of the orthopaedic surgery team here at UAB,” Sheils said.
