Andrea Kahn, M.D., a professor in the Division of Women's Health and section head of gynecologic pathology (GYN), will assume the interim role as medical director for the Department of Pathology's histology and immunohistochemistry laboratories in the Division of Anatomic Pathology, directed by Oyedele Adeyi, M.D., FRCPC, effective December 15, 2025.
Kahn named interim medical director, histology and immunohistochemistry labs
Kahn joined the department in 2020 from the University of South Alabama, where she served as director of Anatomic and Autopsy Pathology, as director of Histology, and as director of Immunohistochemistry and Molecular Pathology. She earned her medical degree from Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, Facultad de Ciencias Médicas, Córdoba, Argentina in 1990. Kahn completed residencies at CEMIC, Buenos Aires, Argentina and the University of South Alabama, and completed her fellowship in surgical pathology at Hospital de Clínicas, Universidad de Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Kahn will assume the role of medical director in the histology lab from Abdullah Osme, M.D., and the role of medical director in the immunohistochemistry lab from Rati Chkheidze, M.D.
