The UAB Department of Pathology hosted its fourth annual Staff Retreat on Wednesday, April 22, which happened to be held on Administrative Professionals Day. The event featured an array of speakers and team activities.
After a warm welcome by Janiece Finkley, Administrative Director, attendees enjoyed hearing the presentation "Mastering Your Minutes" by Alison Knisely, and after lunch, "Using AI (Copilot) at Work" by Jerad Watson, both of whom joined from the UAB Learning and Development Office.
Attendees participated in staff introductions and several activities over the course of the day, such as a coloring contest. Named winners were Emily Bassett and Fatima Igdoura.
"Thank you, admin professionals, for all you do," said Cristina Magi-Galluzzi, M.D., Ph.D., Robert and Ruth Anderson Endowed Chair in Pathology. " Your administrative support is essential to the success of the department, and we truly couldn't do it without you."
