In this new role, Rutledge will step down as associate program director of the Pediatric Residency Program to focus on her expanded leadership responsibilities, while continuing to serve as vice chair of Access and Engagement.

“I am truly excited to begin this new chapter as associate division director for Pediatric Critical Care and to help support our division’s continued growth and collaboration,” said Rutledge. “Transitioning out of my role as associate program director for the Pediatric Residency Program is bittersweet, as working closely with residents has meant so much to me. I am grateful to continue that work through my role as vice chair of access and engagement and as co-leader of the Health Equity Scholars Program and I look forward to bringing that same energy into this new leadership opportunity.”

Rutledge’s appointment marks an important step in the continued growth of the Division of Pediatric Critical Care, further strengthening its mission to provide exceptional care for critically ill children while advancing education and research.
