The University of Alabama at Birmingham Department of Pediatrics is proud to announce that Elizabeth Sullivan-Ingram, D.O., fellow in the Division of Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes, has received the Pediatric Fellow Attendance Award.
This award recognizes pediatric fellows who demonstrate exceptional commitment to professional development through consistent participation in the Fellows’ Research Roundtable and the Fellows’ Core Educational Series. Established in 2004, the award honors two fellows each academic year who achieve the highest combined attendance across both programs during designated time periods.
The Fellows’ Research Roundtable promotes internal discussion of research-related topics across divisions and departments, featuring presentations that span basic science, clinical investigation, public health, health systems research, medical humanities and other child health–related areas. The Fellows’ Core Educational Series, established in 2015, complements division-level education by addressing cross-cutting topics such as research, career development, teaching and presentation skills, cultural competency, diversity, equity and inclusion, communication, advocacy and leadership.
Together, these programs are a fundamental component of the academic environment within the Department of Pediatrics and support fellows pursuing academic careers.
Congratulations Dr. Sullivan-Ingram!
