UAB Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) is expanding access to rehabilitation medicine services across Birmingham with the opening of a new clinic at UAB Medicine Inverness One location. This new clinic space is in partnership with UAB Neurosurgery.
Beginning February 4, PM&R will expand outpatient services to this new clinic focused on Spine and Musculoskeletal Medicine. PM&R physicians at this location will specialize in the diagnosis and non-operative management of neck/back pain, sports-related injuries, work-related injuries, arthritis, and other musculoskeletal conditions affecting the muscles, tendons, nerves, ligaments, and joints in the body. This clinic can also perform diagnostic and therapeutic injections as well as electrodiagnostic testing (EMG/NCS).
PM&R physician Nelson Santos Agosto, D.O. will see patients at this new location. He is accepting new patients on Wednesday morning and afternoon sessions, as well as Thursday afternoons.

This location will be very convenient for many of our patients.”
Dr. Nelson Santos AgostoInverness One will be the fourth Spine and Musculoskeletal Medicine Clinic location for the Department of PM&R. Other locations include UAB Spain Rehabilitation Center, UAB Medical West, and UAB Hospital-Highlands.
This new location supports UAB Medicine’s mission to expand access to high-quality care throughout the Birmingham metro area. In the past two years, the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation has expanded its clinical footprint at UAB Hospital-Highlands and UAB Med West.
The new UAB Medicine Inverness One clinic is located at 1 Inverness Ctr Pkwy, Suite 100, Birmingham, AL 35242. The clinic is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and free parking is available in front of the building.
