“It was remarkable to see our faculty in nearly every plenary and our residents contributing topics posters on topics ranging from global health to artificial intelligence,” said Jordan Perchik, M.D., assistant professor in the abdominal imaging section. “There was record attendance at the conference this year, and I was proud to see UAB represented so well among our peers in the Southeast.”

Seven faculty members were invited to deliver lectures as part of the conference program, showcasing the department's depth of expertise. Representing the department on the podium were Kathryn Zamora, M.D., Michele Robbin, M.D., Rachel Bass, M.D., Scott Grumley, M.D., Jubal Watts, M.D., Eric Turner, M.D., and Jordan Perchik, M.D.

UAB Radiology residents achieved notable success as well, with 12 posters accepted for presentation at the conference. Even more notably, four residents were selected among the top seven overall to deliver featured poster presentations: Meg Francis, M.D., Gabby Willhelm, M.D., Majd Habash, M.D., and Colton Knight, M.D. This distinction reflects the quality, innovation, and impact of their scholarly work.

In addition, Perchik was selected to serve as president of the SRC for the 2026–2027 term. This prestigious leadership role is a tremendous honor and further highlights the national reputation and influence of the UAB Department of Radiology.
